Job Summary |
General Purpose: Assist department manager with staff supervision and maintenance of the parks, campground, marina, and equipment.
Reports to: Parks and Marina Manager
Directs: Parks and marina workers
Essential Duties:
Assist the department manager with achieving set goals for the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of LVPOA properties.
Assist with prioritizing department work duties for efficiency and cost savings.
Be a creative problem solver, attentive to details, and make analytical decisions.
Supervise and/or participate in the work of maintaining park appearance through ground maintenance, post installation, tree trimming, trash removal, landscaping, moving dirt/rocks, mowing, weed trimming, applying herbicides and overall cleanliness look of the marina, campground and parks.
Perform and teach repair tasks in sprinkler systems, minor plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, painting, motorized gates, road patching, general services and clean up.
Assist team with marina maintenance, replacing worn materials/lights, adjusting winches on docks and other marina projects.
Perform preventative maintenance, organization and routine inspections on trucks, equipment, machinery, tools and park facilities.
Provide support for special events and other projects as assigned.
May operate vehicles, boats, backhoe, skid steer, jack hammer, riding mowers, or tractor with certification/license or when on-the-job training is completed.
Respond to on-call or emergency duties as may be assigned.
Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
Knowledge of: Proper use of mower, weed eater, drills, grinders, chainsaws.and other common tools.
Skill/Ability to: Troubleshoot basic repairs. Communicate in English. Work well with a team. Problem solve.
Minimum Requirements to Perform Work:
High School diploma or equivalent
Two years landscaping and grounds maintenance experience
One year management, supervisory or trainer experience
TX drivers license class C, Clean drug screen
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to respond to LVPOA location within forty-five minutes for emergency calls.
